====== City Dweller ====== //Category: Race// === Quick Facts === ^ Stat ^ Cap ^ | **STR** | 18 | | **AGI** | 18 | | **CON** | 18 | | **INT** | 18 | | **WIS** | 18 | | **WIL** | 18 | | **CHA** | 18 | | **LCK** | 18 | | **Special** | None | //Also known as: Human// **City Dwellers** are the most common race in the Kingdom of Drakkar. An all-purpose character, human in appearance, they enjoy socializing and the hustle and bustle of city life. City Dwellers are apt to be strong and to have very good luck, which they need given their love for gambling. ===== Stat Caps ===== City Dwellers are the only race that can roll **18 in every stat** at character creation. This makes them the most balanced and forgiving race to play, especially for new players. The key advantage is being able to roll 18 in both **Charisma** and **Luck** — the two hardest stats to raise after creation. While other races may offer a 19 in a combat stat, they pay for it with reduced CHA or LCK caps that can never be overcome through normal gameplay. Since stat pots in Nork can raise most stats to 18 anyway, City Dwellers sacrifice very little in the long run while starting with the best possible foundation. ===== Character Creation Tips ===== * **Reroll until you get 17-18 in Charisma and Luck.** These cannot be easily fixed later. * Set aside time for rolling — a strong starting character saves significant gold on stat pots later. * City Dwellers have the best odds of rolling high scores across all stats in a single roll. * The only stat you cannot reach 19 in as a City Dweller is Intelligence (which Woodlands Dwellers can roll at 19). However, stat pots raise INT to 19 in Nork, so this is not a disadvantage. ===== Recommended Classes ===== City Dweller works well with **every class** due to balanced stat caps.
