You can roll 18 in every stat, including Charisma and Luck — the two stats that are hardest to fix later. Most veteran guides recommend City Dweller for first characters. **For min-maxers:** Each non-human race trades Charisma and/or Luck caps for a 19 in one or more combat stats. Since stat pots can raise most stats to 18 later, the real question is whether a 19 in STR, INT, or AGI at creation is worth a permanently lower CHA or LCK cap. **Key principle:** Reroll until you get 17-18 in Charisma and Luck. These two stats have very few ways to be raised after character creation.
