Ethics by

As in any other multiplayer game, you have to behave in the

Kingdom of Drakkar by following written (offical) and non-written (rules of drak
community) rules. Mostly the second. ;o)

As you installed Drakkar, you must have accepted

licence agreement and rules. Hereby I shall not repeat these here.

Rules of the Land:

  1. NO Player vs player combat is allowed! (more about this below)
  1. It is left to your discretion to slaughter non-hostile creatures, however be

warned that will affect your aligment

  1. Killing hostile creatures is crucial for your survival. You get experience and

skill this way and grow your character

What sysops (drak staff) dont like:

  1. Hacking (either your account to gain advantage or other account to damage

them) - punishment: permament locking of account. Also, hacking your own account to gain

advantage will ruin your enjoyment in the game (it becomes too easy -> no more thrill,
  enjoyment).
  1. Use of foul and abusive language anywhere in the Drakkar (chat, names,

macros). Dont say anything like <censored>, <censored> and <censored>.

Got it? Keep Drakkar environment friendly and hospitable to all players of all ages (from
babies to metusalems :o) Also, it is not allowed in forums.
  1. swearing and begging them to give you something (NO ONE from Drakkar staff

will boost your crit to HUGE size, give you power gear or restore you from any loss

(eater, lost gear - if not because bug, stolen stuff)). They are already busy enough to
deal with REAL problems like fixing bugs. You are responsible for any loss you suffer if
there was no bug involved. They cannot give you gear lost to PKer, either... they can just
trace PKer and lock him. Leave Drakkar staff to their duty unless you find a bug (or
unfurtunatelly experience it) or have questions about account, known bugs and billing
services. They will help you in these cases.
  1. bad coffee ;o)

Player vs player combat:

  1. it is not allowed by rules of the land (above), however it is still present in

Drakkar

  1. PKing - player killing - is STRICTLY forbidden by game rules AND Drakkar

community. It may be fun, however you will gain A LOT of enemies, if you PK. Nobody will

help you when you need help. Reputation is important in the Kingdom of Drakkar.
  1. dexxing, “testing damage” and such PvP combat with agreement of both

sides is OK by community. However, you are responsible for yourself. Getting stripped in

SF is very bad idea with all these floor thieves.

Account:

  1. NEVER give out your account password. NOT even to your best friends, relatives

and such. Drakkar staff WILL NEVER ASK for your password. So NEVER give out your password to ANYONE. Simple enough?

  1. If/when you leave computer with Drakkar running on, someone may come and do

extensive damage, so logout first before leaving computer for while, especially if

you arent alone. We all know some pkers were relatives/friends at owner's home who
  exploited owner's absence.

Rules in the Drakkar community:

  1. no foul or abusive language
  1. no excessive begging! Ask nicely and there is always someone who will help you.
  1. never search players who have just died (PKers may be exception - to prevent

further pking) - if you have to pick up corpse to CC at healer, use LOOK command instead

  of SEARCH
  1. dont steal others kill, especially on lair hunts, if you arent allowed to help

(i.e. dont kill RD if someone is fighting it already and has it at no heart)

  1. dont loot others kills without permission (most players dont like to see

someone loot what they were risking life to kill)

  1. dont turn down newbies asking for help! Always help newbies to get started in

Drakkar. Remember, you were newbie once, too.

  1. keep Drakkar environment friendly and hospitable (and clean, while we are at

it… ;o)

  1. dont insist on asking someone to help you (dp or hunt), if they are busy (man, I

hate when someone begs me to get his n-5 dp when I am busy coining deep in Aleria! Why do

I always forget to put "Privacy" mode on...?)
  1. no floor thieving (i.e. stealing someone else's stuff from floor)
  1. dont be greedy. Enuff said. ;o)
  1. dont play drunk! <hic>
  1. keep stans and beer cold if your buying house a round…! ;o)
  1. dont yell at someone for not answering you… sometimes we need to go potty…

;o)

  1. if you find someone's DP in dungeon, leave it there. Owner will return for it. If

you want to help, go ask around whose it is first, or wait and clear out zoo around DP.

That is all I can think of at the moment… I might

update these ethics later. Have fun! :o) //Mihey//
