Rerolling

by Mihey

Rerolling is re-creating a character in the same slot (overwriting exsisting crit).

You do so by selecting a slot (crit) to reroll then clicking “Create” button and confirming following alerts. Be sure you really want to reroll. If you are not familiar with rerolling, please read to the end of this page first so you will know what you are doing :o)

First of all, I dont take any responsibilities for damaging your crit in any way. If you have confirmed these warnings after clicking “Create” button, then you have all the responsibility for your crit. Ok? ;o)

Ok. Lets see what rerolling does:

1. You lose ALL items and gold you had equipped on your crit and in sack, pouch & belt, also anything you were holding in hands. So locker items and bank gold first.

2. You revert to experience level 1 (one) and your experience needed for level you had before is HALVED. Thus you have experience for level you were before minus one (i.e. if you were level 14, you get level 1 and can rest up to 13 right away).

3. ALL your skills are reduced to starting levels (as if you created crit for 1st time). However you still have paid training up to skill level you had minus one (i.e. if you had 10 skill before, you are paid up to 9).

4. Aligment is restored to g/g.

Now you know what rerolling does. Be warned though: rerolling again right after reroll will COMPLETELY erase any efforts you put in your old crit. How?

1. Remember you get level 1 after reroll? And that exp is halved…? Ok… you only get half the exp required for level you had before. That is if you were 14 level, you had over 26.2 millions exp. Say, you had 35M exp. But you only get 13.1M exp, because only 26.2M are required for level 14. Ok, halve that and you get 13.1M exp. Got it? Now… after reroll you get level 1. If you reroll right away (i.e., dont level up before), the exp required for level 1 is halved. That is 1600 exp divided by two = only 800 exp out of 13.1 M exp! This basically erases efforts you put in old crit.

2. As for exp, same applies to skills. You are paid to the skill you had minus one. Say, you had 10 skill. 1st reroll lets you with 1 skill and paid training up to 9 skill. Next reroll lets you with 1 skill again and NO PAID TRAINING. So skills are basically erased.

So, you have to level up as high as you can and skill all your skills as high as possible before rerolling (if you have messed up 1st reroll). If you dont want to start from the scratch, that is.

Ok. Why to reroll?

1. You can change your race and get better stats (especially cha and luck… these are the hardest to fix). More about getting stats later.

2. You can change class. (Remember, your class is erased too… have to re-dedicate or choose other class)

3. Some unfortunate crits get eaten a lot when they are overmax (i.e., are over max hp; lost overmax hp are VERY hard to get back by other means than leveling). They choose to reroll and max again then regain overmax. It is useless to reroll when you have lost only 5 or so hp… However imagine losing about hundred overmax hp.

4. If you are ment or healer and did not max ep at level 1, you can reroll then stay on level to max eps. Max ep for healer and ment is 250; if you max at level 1 and rest to 13, you get about 350 ep. Better than maxxing at level 13, right? ;o) It is useful for healers, who need LOTS eps for bigger lair hunts (like Uther).

Now let's roll!

During each reroll you must try to get as high stats as possible. So, when rolling stats, spend a lot of time doing so until you get very good stats. Go for 17 or 18's in CHA and LUCK, get as high will as possible and stats optional for class you are going to be (like STR for fighting classes, INT for ment and WIS for healer). Agils are common, so you can settle for low agil. Str pots are rare, so try to get at least 16 for fighting classes. Will is rarer, so you must have at least 17 or wait months to max it. Con majors are fairly common (rarer than agils, tho), so dont worry about con. Charisma and luck pots are VERY HARD to fix.

Try to get as many stat pots and yellows as possible before reroll. Yellows increase your hp by 1-4 up to 150 hp, so these save you maxxing money. Always have a spare major or two for leveling. Try to get int or wis (for ment or healer) and stat rings (int for ment, wis for healer) before dedicating to approtiate class. For fighting classes it is better to go up to level 13 ASAP. Get some yellows first, if you can, though. For leveling make sure you have at least 18 con, as it will save you maxxing money.

On re-skilling

After reroll you are paid up to skill you had before minus one. So, if you had 11 skill, you are paid up to 10, so you will get skill VERY FAST up to 10 skill. Several ghosts (up to 6-7 skill) and ogre chiefs (up to 11-12 skill) would do the job in just a few hours. ;o) Make sure you are geared up and it will be easy and smooth. For skills above 11 do mino, ghoul lord or twins (ments go for big zoos… heheh, firebreath rules :o). Dont do any eater lairs if you are small… some crits tend to forget they arent so big as they were before and… AAAaaahh..!

Ok, that is it.

I hope you have learned what you wanted. If you are planning to reroll, be sure to tell so around… Who knows, you may get yellows and such. And a few more tips.

Have fun :o) Mihey
