Fating guide from DrakDude's Drakkar site.
Warning! Fating is a drastic step and can do irreparable damage to your crit! Fating is only fun until someone gets hurt. My best advice is just not to do it.
Fating is the ability to randomly change any stat, attribute or ability of your crit. Feeling lucky?
Drinking from the Fate Pools of Frore, drinking from bottles filled with Fate Water from the Pools, using Fate Cards from the Fate Card Seller in Frore and drinking Dion bottles in Cobrahn.
Open bottle, empty bottle, fill bottle and close bottle. Leaving such bottles lying around is a favorite trick of PK'ers so NEVER drink a bottle off the ground unless you are sure its from one of your kills.
If your stats are really poor, trying for that “Super” crit and recovering from eats are good reasons. Consider rerolling as an option.
Go SouthEast of the East Gates of Frore till you see a stairs surrounded by walls. Go down and then proceed North to a room with an altar. Go West through a secret wall passage and then South and West through a doorway. Go NorthWest until you find another stair and go down. Follow the passage until you see three pools of Fate Water. Drink or fill your bottles there.
You must be 15th level or higher to use Fate Cards. First you need a key, usually found in the Fate Pool area, then head for the North Gate of Frore, turning East at the wall before you go through the first gate, head along the path til you come to a drop down, then jump in, then head SouthEast in the water. Then follow the waterway around as it goes West until you come to a junction, then head South. There is the door to get in, head West through another door, then North through another door. The Fate Card Seller is in there. Beware, there is sometimes a huge Mentalist in the room before the Seller. He has ESpear and ShockWave hitting for around 400 damage. The Seller's room is twiggable. The Cards cost 50K each and do not tie.
A new type of PK'ing is to Fate others with the Cards. The crit casting the Fate disc with the Card will be Fated as well. A good tactic is to run if you see someone you do not know flashing Fate Cards.
Dion roams all over the lands in Cobrahn in search of valuable rings and gems. Dion will only trade if there is no danger of being attacked by monsters. You will have to kill off any monsters in the vicinity to make the trade.
