Player Etiquette
Category: Guide
Community rules and guidelines for the Kingdom of Drakkar. Written by Mihey of PHNX Guild.
Rules of the Land
- NO player vs player combat is allowed
- Killing hostile creatures is crucial for your survival — you get experience and skill
- Killing non-hostile creatures affects your alignment (use discretion)
What Staff Don't Like
- Hacking — either your account for advantage or others to damage them. Punishment: permanent account lock.
- Foul/abusive language — not allowed anywhere (chat, names, macros, forums). Keep the environment friendly.
- Begging staff for items — No one from Drakkar staff will boost your crit, give power gear, or restore losses. They fix bugs, not personal losses.
Player vs Player
- PvP is strictly forbidden by game rules AND community standards
- PKing earns you many enemies — nobody will help you. Reputation matters.
- Consensual testing/dexxing with agreement from both sides is OK
- Getting stripped in SF during PvP testing is your own problem
Account Security
- NEVER give out your password — not to friends, relatives, or anyone
- Drakkar staff will never ask for your password
- Log out before leaving your computer — PKers have been relatives/friends exploiting someone's absence
Community Rules
- No foul or abusive language
- No excessive begging — ask nicely and someone will usually help
- Never search a dead player's corpse — use LOOK instead of SEARCH if you need to pick up a corpse for CC
- Don't kill-steal — especially on lair hunts, don't kill what someone else is fighting
- Don't loot others' kills without permission
- Always help newbies — remember, you were one too
- Don't insist on help when someone is busy — they may be deep in a hunt
- No floor thieving — don't steal items from the floor that belong to others
- If you find someone's DP in a dungeon, leave it there — help clear the zoo or ask around whose it is
- Don't be greedy
- Keep stans and beer cold if buying a round
