The Improved Merkon Short Sword is an upgraded weapon that also serves as a key item for the Bandit Lord lair access.

• An Akronium Ring (from the Defense Staff Quest)
• A Merkon Short Sabre

1. Obtain an Akronium Ring and a Merkon Short Sabre.
2. Visit Yomin in Graine Town.
3. Trade both items for the Improved Merkon Short Sword.

This weapon can be traded to Yomin again for a Bandit Lord Outer Door Key (see Bandit Lord Ring Quest).
